My family and I visited Francesco for a tour and we were all blown away by the beauty of his grandfathers land, olive trees, and just how passionate Francesco is about his craft. This tour was truly special and one of a kind! After taking us through the land to hear about the history of it all, olives, olive harvesting, and lots of fun facts about olive oil Francesco took us to see some amazing views in Balestrate which was super close to his grandparents, after the quick stop we went to his grandparents for olive oil and wine tasting, and an awesome lesson on how to make a true Italian sandwich! The tasting and they were so welcoming and warm, they make you feel like you’re right at home with them. His Nonna had some amazing food for us to eat and made sure that we were well fed, it was so awesome spending time with him and his family! Francesco is truly an exceptional young man full of passion and knowledge for his craft, it was very inspiring and refreshing to spend the afternoon with him and learn so much about olives! I can’t wait to come back and visit again to see his progress, his grandparents, and to learn more! If you ever find yourself in Sicily you have to book a tour with him, you won’t regret it!

Nous avons d’abord visité l’oliveraie familiale avec Francesco qui parle un français parfait !
Puis nous sommes allés chez ses grand-parents, dans leur cuisine typiquement sicilienne. Nous avons pu y déguster leur huile d’olive, leur vin cultivé sur la coline d’à côté, et des plats siciliens faits par sa grand mère qui se prête au jeu des questions avec Francesco comme traducteur 😍
Évidemment on repart des étoiles plein les yeux et de l’huile d’olive plein les placards 🫒

We enjoyed every single minute of the tour. The peaceful setting walking around the olive trees and listening to Francesco were a wonderful beginning. The tasting in the cousins kitchen felt like we were family, all Sicilian style! We asked Francesco to send us olive oil and wine because we needed to take this feeling home!

The tour is a once in a lifetime experience! Francesco and his family are so warm and welcoming. From picking my little family and I up from our cruise port and driving us to his beautiful vineyard in Sicily, it was a bucket list experience. One of the most special memories from my trip is being invited to his grandmother’s home. Thank you again Francesco and family! We can’t wait to visit again!

If you’re looking for an olive oil experience that goes beyond the bottle, this is it. This olive oil is an explosion on the tongue, with a hint of pepper that’s perfectly balanced by its soft, silky finish. When you take a tiny sip, it doesn’t even feel like drinking oil—it’s more like tasting liquid sunshine, fresh from the grove.

The tour to the olive grove was fantastic, an intimate experience with a small group. It all ended in the warmth of a grandmother’s kitchen, where we got a taste of tradition as rich as the oil itself.

Now, the box sits proudly on my kitchen counter, and it’s hard to resist taking a sip straight from the tap.

This tour is a must do on your visit to Sicily. Francesco is so passionate about his craft and we thoroughly enjoyed learning from him. It was the most perfect afternoon. Going back to his nonni's house was the best experience on my 2 week trip to Italy. Just book this experience and don't look back. You will not regret it!

To explain how special today was is impossible. Francesco and his family provide a must do experience. We started off in the Olive grove where Francesco walked us through and let us know about the whole process in making Olive oil and showed us the trees. We then moved to the tasting which included the olive oil, balsamic vinegars, and wine that Essensily make. We also got to try Nonna’s caponata, sfincone, olives, tomatoes and other delicious local produce. It was great to meet everybody and really get a sense of Francesco’s passion for the industry. Do yourself a favour and book this tour.

With the last name, Oliva, of course we had to visit an olive grove in Sicily and Essensily was the perfect choice. Francisco is a very impressive young man and he is doing a great job with the olive trees, wine, and balsamic vinegars. The tour of the olive grove was very informative. Afterwards we followed Francisco to the town of Balestrate where the tasting room was very nicely done in the garage of his grandparent’s home. We enjoyed the family atmosphere, and the tasting of the olio d’oliva, balsamic vinegars, and wines with food pairings was excellent. We left with an appreciation for the production of olive oil, but more importantly with the pleasure of having made new friends…and of course some wine, vinegars, and olive oil! Grazie, Francisco.

Første del var ude i familiens olivenplantage, hvor Francesco viste os rundt, og fortalte en masse spændende.
Derefter kørte vi til hans bedsteforældres hus, hvor der var lavet lidt snacks til sagningen, og det var så hyggeligt, og virkeligt spændende.
Vi nød virkeligt at smage og snakken.

Francesco showed us around his family’s olive grove then brought us down to the beach to his grandfathers house for a tasting of olive oil, food, and two wines. He is very knowledgeable and his family was so welcoming. The olive oil is the best we have ever tried! The wine and food pairing made for an excellent & warm experience. We highly recommend this tour.
