The tour is a once in a lifetime experience! Francesco and his family are so warm and welcoming. From picking my little family and I up from our cruise port and driving us to his beautiful vineyard in Sicily, it was a bucket list experience. One of the most special memories from my trip is being invited to his grandmother’s home. Thank you again Francesco and family! We can’t wait to visit again!

If you’re looking for an olive oil experience that goes beyond the bottle, this is it. The tour to the olive grove was fantastic, an intimate experience with a small group. It all ended in the warmth of a grandmother’s kitchen, where we got a taste of tradition as rich as the oil itself.

Now, the box sits proudly on my kitchen counter, and it’s hard to resist taking a sip straight from the tap.

This tour is a must do on your visit to Sicily. Francesco is so passionate about his craft and we thoroughly enjoyed learning from him. It was the most perfect afternoon. Going back to his nonni's house was the best experience on my 2 week trip to Italy. Just book this experience and don't look back. You will not regret it!

To explain how special today was is impossible. Francesco and his family provide a must do experience. We started off in the Olive grove where Francesco walked us through and let us know about the whole process in making Olive oil and showed us the trees. We then moved to the tasting which included the olive oil, balsamic vinegars, and wine that Essensily make. We also got to try Nonna’s caponata, sfincone, olives, tomatoes and other delicious local produce. It was great to meet everybody and really get a sense of Francesco’s passion for the industry. Do yourself a favour and book this tour.

With the last name, Oliva, of course we had to visit an olive grove in Sicily and Essensily was the perfect choice. Francisco is a very impressive young man and he is doing a great job with the olive trees, wine, and balsamic vinegars. The tour of the olive grove was very informative. Afterwards we followed Francisco to the town of Balestrate where the tasting room was very nicely done in the garage of his grandparent’s home. We enjoyed the family atmosphere, and the tasting of the olio d’oliva, balsamic vinegars, and wines with food pairings was excellent. We left with an appreciation for the production of olive oil, but more importantly with the pleasure of having made new friends…and of course some wine, vinegars, and olive oil! Grazie, Francisco.

Første del var ude i familiens olivenplantage, hvor Francesco viste os rundt, og fortalte en masse spændende.
Derefter kørte vi til hans bedsteforældres hus, hvor der var lavet lidt snacks til sagningen, og det var så hyggeligt, og virkeligt spændende.
Vi nød virkeligt at smage og snakken.

Francesco showed us around his family’s olive grove then brought us down to the beach to his grandfathers house for a tasting of olive oil, food, and two wines. He is very knowledgeable and his family was so welcoming. The olive oil is the best we have ever tried! The wine and food pairing made for an excellent & warm experience. We highly recommend this tour.

Wspaniała podróż i przygoda do świata oliwy.
Francesco z rodziną są świetnymi przewodnikami po nieznanych ,,wodach”. Gorąco polecam wycieczkę do ich własnego sadu, gdzie zgłębicie wszystkie tajniki produkcji jak i dbania o drzewka oliwne. Ta cudowna rodzina zaprasza gości do swojego prywatnego domu na przepyszne sycylijskie dania oraz własnej produkcji wino białe i czerwone. Dania przygotowywane są przez gospodarzy.
To był zaszczyt i przyjemność mieć możliwość spędzenia czasu z tą rodziną !

Wir haben das Olivenöl direkt in Sizilien zum ersten Mal probiert und fanden es fantastisch. Es schmeckt sehr fein, hat eine gewisse Frische und passt ganz hervorragend in die mediterrane Küche. Had the pleasure of taking a tour with Francesco on my visit in November 2023. Where we walked the grove, then went to their home to taste the oil and a few appetizers. His beautiful nonna told us how she drinks a shot of olive oil every morning. The oil has an amazing taste with a deep peppery taste at the end. You won’t find that taste here in America . This is now my 2nd order. And I now drink a shot of OO every morning. Thank you for a wonderful tour.

We were visiting Palermo only for a day while traveling on a cruise ship. We hired a private driver from the port to take us to the Olive Grove tour. If you are looking for a genuine and authentic experience, this is it. After the grove tour we headed back to the family home where we shared stories and wine. We were able to purchase olive oil in different sizes and give as gifts on our return home. They were a big hit!

We had the pleasure of touring Francesco’s olive grove this week while in Sicily. Francesco was so informative and friendly and taught us many interesting details about his family’s olive business. After visiting the area where olive trees are planted, we were invited to his grandmother and grandfather’s home for olive oil and wine tasting. Everything was delicious! His grandmother shared many traditional dishes. It was a wonderful way to learn about tasting olive oil and the wine was exceptional. There is no pressure to purchase wine or olive oil, but Francesco is equipped to mail both to your home. This is a great way to get out and see the countryside of Sicily and meet a local family.
